Maximizing FIYU Development Capacity with Microtica’s DevOps Automation
The Brief
FIYU, a PaaS solution for Rapid Application Development, is essentially based on advanced automation capabilities that simplify and speed up development. To streamline the infrastructure setup and application deployment process, a cloud DevOps automation platform by Microtica was a very suitable partnership solution. The development, deployment and monitoring of applications were streamlined regardless of the infrastructure used. This case study explores our collaborative efforts, highlighting the utilization of standard APIs, remarkable provisioning acceleration achieved, the cloud DevOps automation platform and integration process, reflecting the technical expertise and success of the partnership.
Requirements
Cloud application deployment and DevOps automation itself are complex and therefore can decrease performance efficiency. Microtica’s intuitive APIs are used to eliminate manual intervention, streamline and speed up the infrastructure setup process, automate the deployment process, decrease DevOps costs and speed up the final customer onboarding process. Also, the aim is to eliminate potential bottlenecks and reduce the chances of errors or inconsistencies.
Since the FIYU team is taking care of any custom development as well as customer onboarding and support, Microtica provided a solution that the FIYU team accessed through API and Developer Console, empowering them to track the processes in detail.
Pipelines for efficient deployment and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes within the FIYU ecosystem were set up.
Solution
Microtica’s DevOps automation APIs facilitated the integration of powerful cloud automation functionality into the FIYU PaaS. The integration process was successfully completed in less than a month.
The solution automated the delivery of containerized applications on Kubernetes, incorporating built-in CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates, and centralized monitoring and optimization. App configuration and scaling can be managed through a user-friendly UI, and code pushes to Git automatically deploys apps on the cloud. The cooperation also involved provisioning the necessary cloud resources, configuring network components and ensuring secure communication between services for a reliable and robust infrastructure.
Integration of Microtica’s solution with FIYU modules and libraries further enhances the provisioning process and reduces the time spent on environment setup. It also enables progress tracking and supports workflow branching so failures can be quickly identified and the deployment process is smoother.
